This one exists in rarified air. Harvested in the late spring/early summer months on the big island, our Coconut Blossom honey is a select favorite. It's quantity is EXTREMELY LIMITED. Prior to the kiawe bloom, our honeybees supplement their nectar diet with pollen from the coconut palm. This varietal carries the aroma of honeysuckle, and offers a light, almost dew-like quality on the tongue. It holds a faint bite hidden within an envelope of a unique cream taste. It is unusual as it is a darker honey and while it is higher in anti-oxidants, you would never put it in the same camp as other dark (and usually bitter) honeys, like buckwheat.
